Pelican Coast Holdings was incorporated in 1996 by Bill Cuthbertson and Gene Tonn. The focus has been on commercial real estate holdings and development. Prior to 1996, the principles developed one residential project, a 10 acre parcel in Plantation Acres west of 118th Ave between Sunrise and Broward Boulevards. The West University Professional Building is investor owned and managed by Pelican.
